Lost and Found Rings FAQ

Q: How do I link my ring to another player?
A: You need to have the opposing ring, Lost links to Found and vice versa. Stand in close proximity to the player you want to link to, target that player and click your ring. Your new partner will also need to target you, click their ring and you both will get a pop up that needs to be accepted before you are linked together.

Q: Can I have both rings, lost and found?
A: No, you can complete both quests to get the checkmarks but you have to sacrifice a ring to obtain the quest for the opposite ring

Q: Do I only teleport one way, Lost to Found?
A: No, clicking either Lost or Found will teleport you to your linked partner

Q: If I use my ring, will my partners ring also have a cooldown?
A: No, they have their own cooldown timers

Q: Once I link to a character with my ring, am I stuck with that person forever?
A: No, (you can get divorced!) the person you linked to needs to be in a different zone, then you are able to re-link to someone with the opposite ring in the same zone

Q: Can I re-link while on timer cooldown for the telport?
A: No

Q: Can I teleport with my ring across zone lines to my partner?
A: No, you have to be in the same zone

Q: Can I click my ring while in combat?
A: Yes, you can teleport while in combat

Q: If you can teleport while in combat, do you drop aggro?
A: No

Q: Can I quickly switch between the two rings Lost and Found if I've done both quests, via turn-in to the quest NPC?
A: No, currently Elmara will just eat the rings and allow you to re-quest for them, including the evolving xp grind

Q: Does the link persist through camping out of the game?
A: Yes, the link is semi-permanent, it will remain until you actively change it to another person

Q: Does the teleport work in DZs?
A: Yes

Q: Is there a distance limitation on the teleport?
A: Not that I've encountered

Q: Can I set the link in one zone and then use the teleport in another?
A: Yes, once the link is made, you can teleport within the zone as long as the partner is in the same zone

Q: Can I set/reset the link inside a DZ?
A: Yes, as long as your previous partner isn't in the same zone

Q: Can I use my teleport in CoTH restricted zones?
A: Yes
